Winner and New Reusable Snack Bag Giveaway

December 2, 2009   14 Comments

The WINNER of Snack Girl's reusable Snack-Taxi bag is Lauren (via random selection).

Winner and New Reusable Snack Bag Giveaway

She said she would put her "Power balls" which are almond butter, honey, oats, berries rolled in coconut or her home made sweet chex mix which is whole wheat chex, almonds, raisins, sun drops with a drizzle of dark chocolate over them : ) in her snack bag.

I have asked Lauren to share these awesome snack suggestions with us so we can all learn how to make them. They sound delicious!

New Snack Bag Giveaway

I love giving these away because not only do I give a gift to my readers (love you guys!), but I help the environment and a small business.

I love using my reusable shopping bags not only at the grocery store but to share stuff to work, to friends houses all over the place. Great way to not use plastic bags and the ones I have hope are cute as well!

I just popped over to Etsy to check out the Green Goose Bags - they're adorable! I wonder if my 2 year old would be able to open the velcro?

I currently use a Snack Sack ( http://www.thesnacksack.com/ ) (no affiliation with the company, just a happy customer) for his snacks when we are out and about but one of the Green Goose Bags would fit in bags differently/better than his Snack Sack.

My current favorite way of 'being green' is using baking soda/vinegar for most of the cleaning around the house. It's better for the environment and definitely better for my 2 year old son's growing body!

I need reusable snack bags! Right now I try and use containers whenever I can, but it gets a bit bulky. However, I do rinse out my plastic Ziplocs and reuse them whenever possible and use the bags from produce to pick up my dog's "business" on walks.)

I need to be better about using reusable bags- I go through so many ziploc bags it is embarrassing!

This is SO cute, and such a great idea! I use cloth grocery bags whenever I shop. I use reusable containers for my food for work. I have my own plate, bowl and utensils, so I don't have to use paper plates or plastic ware. I pack my lunch using my own homemade items, to keep the disposables at a minimum. Hope Lauren will share her recipes, they sound yummy!

I love the bag and I try to be green. I live in a big city with good public transportation. So I do not own a car. I drive only when there is no other way, which is rarely.

I also love your site.

Thanks. Hope I win.

i would love to win this bag..!
so cute~
i always walk or take my bike~

I desperately need this! I go green by walking or biking everywhere. I live in Chicago so I don't have a car, and unless it's a downpour I walk or bike to and from work - saves a ton a money not having to take public transportation and it's good exercise.

I like eating snacks that have edible or biodegradable outer parts. Bananas, apples, grapes, bascially all fruits!

It's got to be my Nalgene, can't live without it!

What a great idea! I use my reusable grocery bags all the time and also the envirosax for shopping! Didn't know these existed!

I bring my lunch in containers instead of plastic bags and recycle!

Reusable grocery bags, turning off the shower water in between shampoo/conditioner/washing, and public transportation! oh and using my own water bottle (kleen kanteen) of course :-)

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED AS OF DECEMBER 9, 2009
