Winner of SodaStream and New Snack Bag Giveaway

"I use a product called True Lemon to help me avoid soda! It actually comes in True Lime and True Orange as well - just add a packet to jazz up regular water!"

It sounds great! I will find some to review for Snack-Girl.

New Snack Bag Giveaway

I really love promoting small businesses because I am one! Nicki at her Etsy Shop:

has a wonderful profile:

We see things differently... We see a greener future for our Kids. We see cleaner lakes to swim in. We see grass that is free of chemicals. We see fabric that has not been sprayed or treated. We want to see the future! I have been sewing for a while and enjoy creating things you will not find in the mall! I love it when someone stops me and admires my own kid’s clothes that I have made and I thought I would share that with others.

Please share your favorite holiday tradition below for a chance at winning this cool snack bag.

What will I win?

With a two year old, I'm just starting to create holiday traditions as a family with him and my husband whereas before he was born it was just my husband and I. So far, the favorite activity has been the Christmas tree. :)

I hear you on the tree - it is just so fun!

Before I got married my favorite holiday tradition was Christmas Eve dinner out with my parents. Now since I'm married and we've compromised traditions, my favorite one is Christmas Eve dinner with his family: The Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes. This year we are hosting it and I'm planning on appetizers of shrimp cocktail and mini crab cakes, ceasar salad, and cioppino with clams, mussels, scallops, halibut, and salmon served with crusty bread.

Favorite holiday tradition is being with my family and watching endless christmas movies!

Out of 55 grandkids, I'm the only one that knows how to make chrusciki--a traditional Polish dessert/pastry that my grandma made every single year. It's nice to be the only one who can keep that part of the holiday alive--even if it is thinly fried tied dough covered with powdered sugar. The tradition (OK, and the taste) make it special.

My favorite family holiday traditions include having all the cousins sleep over on Christmas eve and play games looooong into the night, a "cookie day" where we all gather and decorate dozens and dozens of cookies that we both eat and give away and our new tradition with my young daughter is to make snowflake and sun cookies for the winter solstice!

The last few years we have been going into NYC and having our Christmas diner out. The last couple f years have been a great Vietnamese place in Chelsea; before that is was Chinese.

oh and congrats on winning the Soda stream . i love mine! Bottled soda gives me a stomach ache.

Our favorite holiday tradition is Christmas Eve--with a couple kinds of soup--always oyster for Daddy, but the younger generation are not so enamored with it. We also have a Swedish dessert--Ostkaka with lingonberries--there is a almond hidden in it and the person who gets it is to have good luck for the next year.

Right now my fiance and I are in the process of starting some of our own holiday traditions, but my favorite family tradition with my parents and brothers and sisters was getting up on Christmas morning and opening stockings. My 3 siblings and I all have stockings that my mom made and embroidered for us, they are absolutely beautiful, and I always look forward to seeing what kind of little gifts my parents have found to put in them.

We're Norwegian and Swedish, so we split our traditions across two days. I love the combination of the centuries old foods and traditions. But my favorite part is our family's addition of a midday meal on Christmas Eve with all sorts of specialty cheeses, meats, crackers and homemade flatbread. Yum!

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED - DECEMBER 23, 2009
