Need Some Convincing? Try a Few Pages

Snack Girl knows there are readers out there who are waiting until they can pick my book up before they buy it.

Snack Girl To The Rescue Excerpt

I am a pretty tough consumer myself, so I am amazed that people would trust me enough to buy this book without reading a word of it (thanks wonderful readers!).

My publisher, Crown, has sent me a way to share the introduction and the table of contents so you can get an idea of what is printed inside the cover. Obviously, we can‘t share the whole 288 pages because no one would buy it!

As of today, Amazon and Barnes and Noble have priced my paperback at $11.59 – which I think is a deal considering how hard I worked on it. Sheesh.

If you buy it before April 15th and sign up here: Register For Free Gifts, you get free snacks and exclusive recipes.

Check out published and reader reviews on this page: Snack Girl To The Rescue!.

NOTE: if you are having trouble reading the chapter - hit the button on the bottom far right and you will get a LARGE version.

Thank you Lisa, my suggestion is to include just 1 recipe from your book. This way everyone will know the format you used and see the nutritional values how you break them down. I know I will go see for myself at my local Barnes & Nobles. As a Weight Watcher it's important to me that the values are included. Just a suggestion! Thanks for all your good work, I depend on you every day and wouldn't miss your daily news.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again.....I am so very proud of you!! What an exciting accomplishment. Congratulations Lisa!!

I have seen Snack Girl the book and I really think it is great, the ideas in the book are logical and the recipes look great too, I have quite a few I plan to try. Check it out you will be glad you did.

Hi Bonnie,

That would have been smart! I did share a subset of recipe titles here:

https://snack-girl.com/a/book-recipes/

The book will include all the nutritional values that I usually share EXCEPT Weight Watchers Points Plus because of copyright issues.

Example:

170 calories, 5.7 g fat, 0.0 g saturated fat, 31.0 g carbohydrates, 5.6 g sugar, 4.3 g protein, 4.0 g fiber, 4 mg sodium

I did share one recipe from the book in this post:

Anyway, I hope that is useful. It will be in Barnes & Noble after April 15th so you can pick it up and flip through it.

Thanks for your advice.

I just read the first chapter and got teary eyed. You are scarily close to my own story with weight control. I am going to order your book immediately! I've been a fan of your blog for ages and I can't wait I can hold that cookbook in my hands! Thank you for sharing your story, which I'm sure sounds like a lot of our stories as well.

I do not eat meat or dairy, I do eat eggs. I would like to order your book, just wonder if at least half of the recipes would work for me. Thanks

Snack girl, pleeeze answer more of the questions people ask you when commenting on a recipe from your blog. Most of them are very good and I would love the answers.

Thanks! and yes I am going to buy your book!

I love that you have all the nutritional information but do your recipes also include the portion size?

@Susan - yes, I have included the portion size. Thanks for your question!
