Exciting Food to Make With Cauliflower

Don’t you find cauliflower exciting? No?

Exciting Cauliflower

Well, I don’t either but you can make it into something different and wonderful with a little work.

Cauliflower is worth the effort because it is an an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6. It is a very good source of choline, dietary fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, manganese, phosphorus, and biotin. Additionally, it is a good source of vitamin B2, protein, vitamin B1, niacin, and magnesium.

Ummmm, Krispy Kreme donuts can’t compete. Put down the donut and pick up some cauliflower.

(ooh and I forgot to mention it is incredibly low in calories)

Also, try cauliflower rice. Trader Joe's sells a frozen version that is quite good. Good substitute for rice that is not actually a starch!

Yes, I have tried cauliflower rice and it is really good. Has anyone ever tried doing the cauliflower pizza crust?

I love cauliflower in almost all forms, but especially roasted. I have tried three versions of cauliflower pizza crusts, and I have to be honest that if you like "real" pizza crust, it doesn't fit the bill. If the bread part of pizza is not important to you (i.e. if you are looking for a vehicle to deliver sauce and cheese), it might be ok. But for me, so far that's the only way I DON'T like cauliflower.

I just made mashed cauliflower the other day, I LOVE it!!! It tastes like mashed potatoes!

I don't use a "set" recipe...I just add some parm cheese (or whatever other cheese I have), I added Weight Watcher's cream cheese (OMG their plain cream cheese is to die for and it is like 1 or 2 points for 2 Tbsp. (Super low!), seasoning (sometimes I will add milk but didn't this time), and some olive oil and maybe a little butter.

It is soooooooo good!

I also pinned a recipe for cauliflower pizza crust that I have been seeing floating around.

I also love to roast cauliflower with garlic and olive oil.

I love cauliflower crust pizza. Severa family members including me are trying to cut down on carbs. This pizza can be tailored with your favorite traditional toppings or something a little more gourmet! We recently topped our cauliflower crust with garlic cream pizza sauce, sun dried tomatoes, black olives, chopped artichokes, white meat chicken, a light sprinkle of crumbled bacon, fresh snipped basil and part skim mozarella. Then a drizzle of olive oil over the top and a quick shake of pizza seasoning. It fills our pizza craving and we don't miss the dough. It's become our "go to" pizza night favorite and fits everyone's favorite topping taste.

I've collected a lot of unusual recipes for cauliflowers like the pizza crust one, but the only unique one I've tried so far was for cheesy cauliflower "bread" sticks. They were pretty good as long as you don't expect them to really taste like bread.

Otherwise, I especially like cauliflower roasted. Cauliflower rice is good, too. I also sometimes just heat up a bag in the microwave, then mash it up and serve it under something with sauce. It has a mild flavor so it's very versatile.

I want to thank everyone on answering my question about cauliflower pizza ...It was a great help..

Our favorite way of eating it is Cauliflower Potato Salad. So easy to make and so good. My husband actually asked me how many potatoes do I put in it. He was shocked when I said none. I got this from the WW's group I belong to. I also liked it Cauliflower Steaks. Just roasted slices of it.
